Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund claims he was ‘targeted’ by San Marino players during Denmark’s Euro 2024 qualifier.
Hojlund scored in his team’s 2-1 win over San Marino on Tuesday as the minnows scored their first competitive goal in two years.

The United star opened the scoring with a thunderous goal just before the break. And Alessandro Golinucci cancelled his strike just after the hour mark.
But San Marino couldn’t hold on for the point as Yussuf Poulsen headed home to put Denmark in front.
But, they clearly left their mark on Hojlund who came out battered and bruised from the game.
He claims to be ‘targeted’ by the San Marino players and understood what they were saying in Italian.
The young Dane picked up a knock in the 89th minute before he had to be replaced in stoppage time.
The player, who has been treating a back problem, received a reckless challenge from behind as the opposition ‘targeted’ that area of his body.
We all know Rasmus Hojlund has a back issue. Surely this is intentional/Targeted?!!

Speaking after the game, the 20-year-old said: “They targeted me today, as you can see at the end. I understand Italian and I could hear them saying that they had the idea to crush me.”
He added: “You can see from the images that he only had one idea in mind. A yellow card is a joke.”
Erik ten Hag has been handed a new injury scare as he’s already without some of his important players at Man United.
Ten Hag and United fans alike will be hoping Hojlund’s injury is not serious ahead of the Red Devils resuming their Premier League season on Saturday.
