Alexander Isak is reportedly considering a move away from Newcastle United this summer, with both Arsenal and Chelsea keen on signing the striker.
The Swedish forward has been in outstanding form at St James’ Park, netting 27 goals this season and playing a pivotal role in helping Newcastle secure the Carabao Cup.

Despite widespread interest, Newcastle remains firm in their stance that Isak is not for sale, though they would demand at least £100 million if they were to part ways with one of Europe’s top strikers.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly identified Isak as his ideal signing, believing that the striker could elevate the team to new heights next season.
Following their Champions League semi-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal is now facing a fifth consecutive season without silverware. While they are on course for another second-place Premier League finish, many believe that a prolific goalscorer could be the missing piece in their title ambitions.
According to BBC Sport, Isak has strong backing from those within Arsenal, despite concerns that his signing would consume a significant portion of the club’s transfer budget.
The Gunners are also monitoring Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres as alternative options, both of whom would come at a lower cost compared to Isak, who was signed by Newcastle for over £60 million in 2022.
BBC’s report further states that while Isak is satisfied at Newcastle, he remains open to a move to London, with potential interest from other clubs, including Premier League champions Liverpool.
Chelsea could also benefit from Isak’s willingness to relocate, as the Blues are actively searching for a new striker this summer and have expressed admiration for the Swedish forward.
Nicolas Jackson, who scored 17 goals in his first campaign at Stamford Bridge, has struggled with form and fitness issues this season, leaving Chelsea eager to reinforce their attacking options.
The club has also shown interest in Liam Delap, who is available for £30 million due to a release clause, and Victor Osimhen, whom Chelsea previously attempted to sign before his loan move to Galatasaray from Napoli last summer.
Former Arsenal player Paul Merson has suggested that acquiring Isak could be a game-changer for the Gunners, predicting that his arrival would make them clear favorites to win the Premier League by a wide margin next season.
‘Alexander Isak is expected to attract interest from a few clubs this summer,’ Merson told Sportskeeda.
‘But I feel like he could play the waiting game before he decides on his future. Newcastle could be playing Champions League football next season and have already tasted silverware.
‘Let’s not forget that they are a big club and if they qualify for the Champions League, they are an attractive project to be a part of for any player.
‘I think Isak surely wants to be involved in the Champions League next season and that could play a key role here.
‘Arsenal seem like the best possible move for him if he leaves Newcastle though. If the Gunners get him, they will win the league by 10 points!’
Isak, who is contracted to Newcastle until 2028, has scored 62 goals in 107 games for the Magpies and is the second-top goalscorer in the Premier League this campaign.
