Kaka rates Chelsea’s victory against AC Milan & slams former side

Kaka praised ‘very consistent’ Chelsea for their display in a 3-0 win against AC Milan at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night and concedes the Blues ‘deserved’ to beat his former side.

Graham Potter picked up his first win in the UEFA Champions League thanks to goals from Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Reece James.

Milan are back in Europe’s elite competition for just the second time in eight years after their Serie A win last campaign.

But the Italians have picked up only four points from their opening three group stage games this season and they underwhelmed in west London.

Milan will need to beat Chelsea in the reverse fixture next week if they’re to stand the chance of reaching the last-16 and Kaka says his former team were deservedly beaten by the Blues.

‘Chelsea deserved that result,’ said Kaka. ‘I think they have a very consistent game they controlled the game the whole time. They didn’t create many opportunities but they took advantage of the opportunities they they had.

‘Most of them [chances] conceded by Milan and we were talking about the absence of the players and it’s important to keep the players that couldn’t play tonight but for Milan it was a poor game.

‘No actions, a bad result and only one chance at the end of the first chance with leao and part of that not much more. for me there wasn’t a connection between midfield and attack, also because of that we saw poor game of Giroud because he didn’t see many balls from the game.

‘If Milan wants to have a good Champions League there is another game against Chelsea again then Clasico against Juve on the weekend so it’s important ten days for Milan.’
