Harry Kane picks preferred team as Chelsea, Man City & Man Utd open talks

Harry Kane has reportedly made Manchester City his first-choice destination this summer transfer window despite interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

The England international has told Spurs that he wants to leave at the end of the campaign in order to boost his chances of winning major titles at club level.

However, Tottenham are in a strong negotiating position as the player will still have three years remaining on his contract this summer.

Kane’s potential availability has alerted several teams around Europe, but according to talkSPORT, he favours a move to Man City ahead of any other side.

Meanwhile, The Athletic claims that Kane was keen to join City last summer but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy refused to grant him a transfer move to Pep Guardiola’s side.

Kane has reportedly asked his England teammates who play for City about living in the area and it is believed that the Spurs striker will join the Premier League champions.

City, meanwhile, are in the transfer market for a new striker with Sergio Aguero set to leave at the end of the season when his current contract expires.

The Athletic also claims that Kane would be reluctant to sign for Chelsea given their long-standing rivalry with Tottenham.

When asked if Kane has asked to leave, the club’s interim manager Ryan Mason said on Tuesday: ‘No, not that I’m aware of. All of my conversations with Harry have been about the game. All these conversations, I am not so sure. I don’t know.

‘I speak to Harry pretty much every day. He’s excited along with me about [the game against Aston Villa]. ‘Our only discussions have been about the game tomorrow. We’re looking forward to tomorrow.

‘He starts tomorrow because he is our best striker and he is one of the best strikers in the world.

‘I have been consistent, I am here for the next two games and that is my main focus in preparing a football team and winning a game of football. Hopefully we can do that and Harry can get on the scoresheet.

‘They’ll love seeing him play. He loves the club, he’s been here from a very young age, come through the system. I’m sure the fans are excited to see Harry play.’
