Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly nearing an agreement on personal terms with Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, who is eager to leave.
The England international’s career at Old Trafford seemed doomed last September after a notable public dispute with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag.

Sancho was excluded from the Man United squad for a 3-1 loss to Arsenal, with Ten Hag citing the winger’s subpar training performances, allegations Sancho denied on social media.
Following this incident, the 24-year-old was frozen out of the squad as neither he nor Ten Hag relented in their standoff, leading to Sancho being loaned back to Borussia Dortmund for the latter half of the season.
Sancho’s performance was pivotal in Dortmund’s journey to the Champions League final, contributing three goals and three assists in 21 matches, though a permanent move did not happen.
The former Manchester City player was strongly linked with a move to Juventus earlier in the transfer window when his return to Old Trafford seemed unlikely. Surprisingly, he has reconciled with Ten Hag.
The Dutch coach has reintegrated Sancho into the squad after resolving their differences, and Sancho played 45 minutes in Saturday’s pre-season friendly win over Rangers, indicating potential for his success at the Theatre of Dreams.
Ten Hag called Sancho a “terribly good player” during their clear-the-air talks but remained noncommittal about his return to competitive play.
Sancho’s contract at Old Trafford runs for another two seasons, and Foot Mercato reports that he is close to agreeing on personal terms with French giants PSG.
Sancho’s potential move to the Parc des Princes—where he could replace Real Madrid-bound Kylian Mbappe—depends on the two clubs agreeing on a fee. The Red Devils are reportedly asking for about €50m (£42.1m) for the sale.
PSG’s interest in Sancho raises the possibility of a part-exchange deal, as Man United are also keen on acquiring Manuel Ugarte from the Parc des Princes.
After concluding that the £105m-rated Benfica starlet Joao Neves is too expensive, Man United have reportedly turned their attention to Ugarte, valued at just under £60m by PSG.
Thus, the Red Devils might try to lower the price by including Sancho in the deal, though they would still need to pay a nominal transfer fee.
Sancho has only 12 goals and six assists in 82 competitive matches for Man United, who have already signed Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee during the summer window.
Yoro received praise for his debut performance against Rangers, and Ten Hag’s team is also working on bringing Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt to Old Trafford.
