Leeds United have reportedly told Barcelona to submit their latest offer for Raphinha by Thursday as Chelsea continue to wait on the player.
Chelsea have already agreed a £55m fee with Leeds but the Brazilian winger has held out for Barcelona to make their move.
Raphinha’s agent, Deco, met with Barca’s hierarchy on multiple occasions last week but the Spanish team have yet to reach an agreement with Leeds.
It’s believed that Raphinha’s preference is to join Barcelona but the La Liga side are not willing to match Chelsea’s bid.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Leeds have now asked Barca to provide them with an updated proposal by Thursday as they are keen for the player’s future to be decided.”
Raphinha has already agreed personal terms but Barcelona have been unable to follow up with a bid due to their financial restrictions.
Speaking at the weekend, Barcelona president Joan Laporta said that Raphinha is keen to make the move to Camp Nou.
‘We’ve spoken to Leeds, I don’t think they will be offended. We have communication and we have spoken personally,’ Laporta said.”
‘What happens is that there are other clubs that want Raphinha and are making their proposals. He wants to come.’
Leeds, meanwhile, have identified Feyenoord star Luis Sinisterra as Raphinha’s replacement and have agreed a €30m (£25.6m) deal to sign the Colombia international.
