However, the match was eclipsed by Salah’s sensational post-match interview, after he remained an unused substitute at Elland Road.

The timing of Salah’s remarks has drawn scrutiny from supporters and pundits, including Michael Owen, especially with pressure mounting on Slot amid Liverpool’s ongoing difficulties this campaign.
The team has suffered nine defeats in their last 15 outings across all competitions, including heavy losses to Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City.
Still, as reported by The Times’ Paul Joyce, Fenway Sports Group remains supportive of Slot and has not indicated any intention to make a change.
That said, ‘patience will not be limitless’ and Slot’s fate will be determined by results, not Salah ‘stamping his feet’, according to Joyce.
Salah, who has found the net five times this season, has been on the bench for Liverpool’s past three fixtures, despite previously being a mainstay in Slot’s starting lineup.
He was omitted from the squad against West Ham United and did not feature in the 2-0 win at the London Stadium.
The forward was introduced at halftime in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland.
And, as mentioned, the Egyptian was not involved in the clash with Leeds on Saturday.
Salah, who is preparing to join up with Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations on December 15, cast doubt over his Liverpool future by suggesting that next Saturday’s match against Brighton could be his final appearance for the club, despite penning a lucrative new two-year contract in April.
Liverpool are set to return to the pitch next Tuesday as they continue their Champions League journey against Inter Milan.
