Romelu Lukaku has deleted his Twitter account and has made a change to his Facebook page after being axed from Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday.
The Belgium international sent shockwaves around the club a few days ago after footage emerged of him declaring his unhappiness at Chelsea during a bombshell interview on Italian TV.
Lukaku revealed he doesn’t like the formation Thomas Tuchel has been using all campaign and said he would’ve stayed at Inter had they offered him a new contract last summer.

In response, Tuchel decided to leave him at home ahead of what was a significant tie with Liverpool, stressing that the “noise was too big” around the player to include him.
Amidst the furore, supporters noticed that Lukaku’s Twitter account no longer exists – with many saying he deleted it some weeks ago, around the same time the infamous interview was recorded.
Though the Chelsea striker’s Facebook page has raised a few eyebrows. Despite his profile picture showing him in Chelsea shirt, there is no mention of the London club on Lukaku’s profile, with his bio reading ‘Inter Milan’ instead.
It’s possible that he hasn’t updated his page since the summer, but it’s not a good look. It’s believed that Tuchel and Lukaku will sit down with each other for talks, with the £97.5 million’s future temporarily up in the air.
Despite the tension, Tuchel said that there was still a way back for Lukaku in the team.
“He is our player, there is always a way back, we will clear this behind closed doors and once we have made a decision and Romelu knows, you will maybe know also,” he said after the Liverpool match. “It is not to be discussed now.”
The Blues eventually came from behind to earn a point in what was a thrilling encounter against title-rivals Liverpool yesterday.
