Luke Shaw makes huge prediction for ‘scary’ Mason Greenwood

Luke Shaw has hailed Mason Greenwood’s ‘scary’ ability & predicts the Manchester United star ‘will be one of the most talked about players in the world’ in the next two or three years.

Greenwood enjoyed a strong end to the campaign last term and has been superb this season, finding the net in each of United’s three opening games in the Premier League.

His strike against Leeds United saw him become the third youngest United player to hit 30 goals and he was named the club’s Player of the Month for August.

Greenwood will hope to pick up where he left off after the international break when the Red devils play against Newcastle and Shaw has no doubts the attacker will continue to deliver on his potential over the coming months and years.

‘The talent he’s got is so scary, it’s unbelievable,’ the United left-back explained to UMM’s Harry Pinero. ‘I think he will be one of the most talked about players in the world in the next two or three years.’

Paul Pogba recently described Greenwood as the best finisher he’s ever played with and Harry Maguire revealed just how hard is is to defend against the two-footed England star.

‘He’s obviously so young but so refreshing. He’s got everything, every attribute to keep pushing on and keep improving,’ the United captain told UMM.

‘You’ve seen he can play down the right but he’s played down the middle as well. ‘The hardest thing in training is that you can’t give him a yard because if you give him a yard, it ends up in the back of the net.

‘His finishing is that good. In a five-aside you always want him on your team because he’s always one of the top goalscorers.’

Maguire is relishing the opportunity to work alongside Raphael Varane after his arrival from Real Madrid in the summer window.

‘It’s obviously really exciting to get him at the club and to work alongside him,’ he added. ‘I think him coming in will bolster the defensive unit.

‘We can learn off each other, we can push each other and that’s what we want for the club. ‘We want to keep more clean sheets and the more competition, the better.’
