Despite flashes of promise, his time at Stamford Bridge has been underwhelming, with 30 goals in 81 appearances failing to meet expectations.

Following the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro under new manager Enzo Maresca, it became increasingly evident that Jackson was no longer central to Chelsea’s plans.
A loan move to Bayern Munich was arranged last weekend, but complications arose when Chelsea tried to halt the deal mid-flight due to Delap picking up an injury.

Jackson’s agent, Diomansy Kamara, made it clear that a return to London was not on the table, famously stating, “the plane doesn’t go backwards.”

As deadline day approached, Chelsea shifted their stance, indicating they would only sanction the move if it became a permanent transfer.

Eventually, both clubs settled on a loan agreement with a mandatory purchase clause, bringing the total value of the deal to approximately £70.5 million.

Once the transfer was finalized, Jackson posted a photo on social media proudly wearing Bayern’s No.11 shirt, confirming his new chapter in Germany.

Madueke’s cryptic comment added fuel to the conversation, sparking mixed reactions among fans who are still processing the striker’s sudden departure.

He wrote in the caption: “Proud to join FC Bayern. Excited for this new challenge and can’t wait to play at the Allianz Arena! Mia San Mia!”

In the comments section, Madueke, who left Chelsea for Arsenal, wrote: “You deserve it my brother.”

Reacting to Madueke’s comment, one Chelsea supporter said: “What’s he trying to insinuate?”

Another tweeted: “The two of them behave like babies… I am not surprised.”

A third fan added: “2 flops comforting each other.”

Speaking on his move to Bayern, Jackson said: “I’m really happy to now be part of this great club. Bayern is one of the best clubs in the world. Everyone knows the names of the legends who’ve played here and knows that this club stands for the greatest success.

“I’ve got big goals and dreams here and will give my all to help Bayern win further titles.”
