According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are eager to sign Sancho on a permanent basis but are unwilling to match his current salary, which is believed to be around €10 million per year.

United and the Italian club have already reached a mutual understanding that would see Sancho move to Turin either through a direct sale or as part of a player exchange.

Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea, but his wage demands ultimately derailed a permanent £25 million transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea instead opted to pay a £5 million penalty to terminate the purchase clause, sending the 25-year-old back to Old Trafford, where he is not part of Rúben Amorim’s plans.

United are open to selling Sancho for a fee of £21.5 million plus add-ons or accepting Douglas Luiz in a swap deal; the Brazilian midfielder has struggled to settle in Turin since leaving Aston Villa in 2024.

Sancho, who earns £300,000 per week, is reportedly asking for a salary of around £6.9 million annually, while Juventus are only prepared to offer between £5.1 million and £6 million.

Despite the wage gap, there is optimism that a compromise can be reached, and Sancho is said to be enthusiastic about the prospect of joining the Bianconeri.

Manchester United are preparing for a summer clear-out, with Sancho among several players expected to leave, including Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia.

Sancho originally joined United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million but has struggled to make a lasting impact, and a move abroad could offer him a much-needed fresh start.
