Manchester United and Bayern Munich are still at odds by over £10 million regarding the valuation of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, as reported.
Following the £52 million acquisition of Leny Yoro, who is now sidelined for three months with a broken foot, Erik ten Hag continues to seek another central defender.

United engaged in discussions with Bayern for De Ligt this summer but have declined to meet the German club’s €50m (£42m) price tag for the Netherlands player.
United have also settled personal terms with Mazraoui but have yet to agree on a fee with Bayern Munich.
Last month, West Ham arranged a deal for €15.5m (£12.7m) plus €4m (£3.4m) in add-ons for Mazraoui, but the 26-year-old turned it down, waiting for a potential move to United.
According to The Sun, United’s joint offer of £51m this week was rejected by Bayern.
The report states that Bayern are demanding £64m for both De Ligt and Mazraoui.
It was reported earlier this week that the representatives of De Ligt and Mazraoui, both managed by Rafaela Pimenta, were ‘bemused’ by Bayern’s response to United’s offer.
Bayern has informed both players that they are not included in Vincent Kompany’s plans for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Joshua Kimmich has suggested that he is open to staying at Bayern amid rumors of a possible transfer this summer.
‘In general, you can always talk to each other sensibly. I think all doors are open for everyone,’ said Kimmich, who has just a year left on his contract.
‘In general, I feel very comfortable here. All my children were born here, we built here.
‘Of course, last season wasn’t that successful. That is not what Bayern Munich expects, and it is not what I expect myself to expect. Now I am very hungry and full of energy for the new season.
