Man Utd fans want player sold ASAP after Ipswich game with replacement lined up

Manchester United fans are calling for the immediate sale of a star player after their victory over Ipswich Town, with a potential replacement already in mind.

United returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 3-2 triumph over Ipswich on Wednesday.

The Red Devils initially fell behind when Jaden Philogene capitalized on a mix-up between Patrick Dorgu and Andre Onana. ..Continue Reading

Ruben Amorim’s side equalized when Sam Morsy inadvertently scored an own goal, with Matthijs de Ligt then giving United the lead.

United were reduced to 10 men when Dorgu received a red card following a VAR review.

Philogene equalized shortly after, but Harry Maguire’s header secured a 3-2 win for United.

Despite the victory, United fans have grown frustrated with Rasmus Hojlund, who had another difficult performance up front.

Hojlund, who joined the club for £72 million, failed to score against Ipswich and was substituted in the second half by Amorim.

Disgruntled fans have taken to social media to express their desire for the Danish striker to be sold as soon as possible.

One X user wrote: “No matter who scores for United, you know it’s never Hojlund.”

A second tweeted: “Why has Amorim taken off Garnacho? Hojlund is offering nothing!!!”

A third added: “Hojlund experiment over. Sell back to Italy in the summer.”

A fourth commented: “Hojlund having 17 shots in 22 PL games this season tells us he doesn’t really understand the CF position: the right movements to make and when/how to get shots off from certain positions. That’s the type of shot production you would expect from a CM at a mid-table club.”

A fifth said: “Hojlund needs to be sold ASAP he can’t do anything and that’s not an exaggeration.”

Should Manchester United decide to move on from Hojlund, they have earmarked Victor Osimhen as their primary transfer target.

According to a report by GiveMeSport, United are optimistic that a deal for the Nigerian striker could be attainable if he is willing to reduce his salary expectations.

The report states that Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, would command a transfer fee of £63 million.
