Man Utd handed huge Jadon Sancho boost as Dortmund identify replacement

Borussia Dortmund have stepped up plans for the replacement of Jadon Sancho if he signs for Manchester United this summer, the Telegraph claims.

Dortmund are looking to sign a new winger ahead of the new Bundesliga campaign after completing the signing of Jude Bellingham – this is a major boost for United.

The two teams are currently miles apart on the valuation of Sancho. But plans have already begun as Dortmund sporting director, Michael Zorc expects him to leave.

The German club have looked at Werder Bremen’s Milot Rashica as they look to finalise possible targets and also want Sancho’s deal done soon.

And Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that attracting targets will not depend of securing a Champions League place for next season.

Sancho’s sale will be a big profit for Dortmund after he was signed from Manchester City’s academy for just £8m in 2017.

Sancho was disciplined by his his club during the current season – he was late back from international duty with England in October which resulted in being dropped from the team.

Dortmund’s head coach, Lucien Favre failed to play him in the first half of a defeat to Bayern, the winger was accused of lacking focus when they faced Barcelona in the Champions League.

But Manchester United have not yet made a bid for the England international, according to Sport Bild.
