Man Utd to hold transfer talks with Eduardo Camavinga next week

Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing French star Eduardo Camavinga with discussions planned next week, according to reports.

The Red devils are believed to be closing in on a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho with a central defender and central midfielder also on Solskjaer’s wish list.

United have now shifted their focus on 18-year-old Rennes player Camavinga, according to RMC Sport and will meet with the player’s representatives next week with hope of convincing him to join the club.

Camavinga, capped three times by France, is one of Europe’s most highly-rated youngsters and is also wanted by Real Madrid and PSG.

Staying in France is believed to be his priority but United hope to change his mind. And Camavinga is represented by Jonathan Barnett who revealed recently that there have been some offers for the player’s services.

‘Believe me we have a lot of offers for this year, a lot of offers, and good ones,’ Camavinga’s representative, Jonathan Barnett, told SNTV.

‘I mean top, top clubs. We don’t want to rush. There is the right time to move on and playing games is the most important thing at his age.

‘Playing in a good club is nice for him. It might be this year, or he wants to have another year. ‘He has got to talk to his family, his father. We will all sit down and decide. We will talk to Rennes as well and decide. There is no rush for him.’

Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly made Camavinga their major target and are reported to be working behind the scenes to sign the Rennes midfielder this summer.

According to French outlet Le 10 Sport, the gunners are firmly in the mix and are ‘doing everything to be perfectly positioned’ for Camavinga’s signature ahead of the summer window.
