Reports from France suggest that both Manchester United and Newcastle United have approached Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy for a potential January transfer.
The 27-year-old has showcased remarkable form this season, netting 16 goals in 10 appearances.
Manchester United is actively seeking a new striker to alleviate the pressure on their £72 million summer signing, Rasmus Hojlund, who is yet to score in nine Premier League matches.
Meanwhile, Newcastle has faced challenges with injuries to Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson at various points in the season.
According to FootMercato, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Roma, and AC Milan have all expressed interest in acquiring Guirassy during the upcoming transfer window.
The report indicates that Guirassy is open to leaving Stuttgart in January, and his availability comes with a reasonable price tag due to the €17.5 million (£15m) release clause in his Bundesliga contract.
Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeness acknowledged over the weekend that there is a possibility of Guirassy departing in January.
‘In football you can never exclude anything, so I won’t do that here either.
‘I think he feels really comfortable. Of course, I hope he stays with us for a long time, just has a good time with us.
‘But with him and with the others, it is never possible to exclude things.’
