Manchester United endured a heavy 3-0 defeat at home to Tottenham last weekend, once again bringing his job into sharp focus.

The club may have to make a decision on Ten Hag, but parting ways with him would come at a significant financial cost.

Reportedly, Ten Hag has two crucial matches to change his fortunes, with upcoming fixtures against Porto in the Europa League and Aston Villa in the Premier League this week.

A report from The Daily Mail suggests that while the ‘majority of players’ support the 54-year-old, there’s a feeling within the dressing room that his time is running out.

This uncertainty is said to have contributed to a decline in the team’s performance this season, leading to three league losses.

Despite winning two major trophies in two years at Old Trafford, Ten Hag’s future is now under serious threat following their latest humiliating defeat.

Asked about his future after the match, he said: “No, I am not thinking about this. We all made together this decision to stay together, as an ownership, a leadership group in the summer, also we made the decision from a clear review what we have to improve and how we want to construct a squad.

“But we knew it will take some time, how the window went, some players late in like Ugarte. Also, we have to make some improvement in organisation, some injuries, we need some time.

“We are all on one page or in one boat together, the ownership, the staff and the players as well. I don’t have that concern.”

Ten Hag finds himself in a crucial week as his United future is on the line when his team returns to action.
