Manchester United hope to conclude talks with Marcus Rashford’s representatives over a new deal after the striker rejected a £400,000-per-week deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
The England star has 15 months left on his deal at Old Trafford and the club triggered a 12-month extension clause in his contract in December, having failed to agree on a new contract.
Rashford has revived his United career this campaign, scoring 27 goals in 44 matches.
It comes after the most difficult campaign of his career last season, when he scored just five goals in all competitions and struggled both on and off the field.
Despite his struggles, Rashford received interest from Paris Saint-Germain last summer and his representatives held discussions over a move to Paris.
According to the Athletic, PSG offered Rashford £400,000-a-week to make the move to France but he turned down their offer.
That would suggest that Rashford is keen to stay at the club but Untied are yet to make any major progress in talks over a new deal.

That’s despite the feeling that there’s a big amount of agreement from both parties over the outline of a deal.
A failure to qualify for the Champions League means United players take a 25% hit to their wages but finishing in the top four would see Rashford earn around £200,000-a-week.
He can expect a major increase on that by committing his peak years to the club but United are wary of Financial Fair Play regulations and are keen to bring down the average wage of the squad.
