Facundo Pellistri, following critical remarks from the winger’s agent towards Erik ten Hag, has opted for a loan transfer from Manchester United to Granada.
Despite featuring in 14 appearances for the Red Devils this season, only three of them were as part of the starting lineup.

United’s front three is fiercely contested, with the Uruguayan international finding himself trailing behind players such as Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo in the battle for a wing position.
Edgardo Lasalvia, Pellistri’s agent, has criticized Ten Hag for not providing more opportunities for his client in the first team. Lasalvia suggests that the winger’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain as long as the Dutchman remains in charge.
Speaking to Uruguayan publication Sport890, Lasalvia said: ‘Whether he returns to Manchester in the middle of the year [from Granada] will depend on the performance he shows.
‘If Ten Hag continues, it’s going to be difficult. Ten Hag hasn’t used him, valued him, or treated him like a professional.’
Meanwhile, a Man United announcement of Pellistri’s loan stated: ‘Everybody at United wishes Facundo all the best this season and we will be tracking his progress closely.’
Pellistri is currently experiencing his third loan stint away from Old Trafford, having previously had two short-term spells with Alaves.
On Thursday, Manchester United will face Wolves, seeking their first away victory in the Premier League since defeating Everton in November.
‘I think we are quite confident because on our best days, we can beat anyone,’ said Ten Hag. ‘But on our worst days, we go down to certain limits of what is not acceptable, so we have to push our limits to higher levels. So that, on our worst days, we still get our results in.
‘Then we know that, at our best, we can beat anyone and everyone in the squad is very convinced about this. Also, they know that, with players coming back and returning from injury, from long-term injuries, the team will be stronger and also that helps the motivation and it helps the mood and the spirit in the team.’
