After drawing with Porto in the Europa League and securing another point in the Premier League, Evans noted that the uncertainty around their coach is affecting the team.
United are having their worst Premier League season start ever, currently placed 14th in the standings, just five points above the relegation zone and six points behind the top four.
With only one victory in their last five league games, United’s struggle continues, further fueling speculation about ten Hag’s job security.
Evans told BBC Match of the Day: “That was the important thing to show the spirit in the team. Everyone competed as much as they could. That’s a pleasing thing to see.
“You never have everyone available throughout the season. It’s important everyone coming in is ready to go when they’re ready.”
On Ten Hag being under pressure, he added: “It does affect the players. It’s on our minds too. I think the more experience I’ve got in my career I’ve made sure I do everything you I to be ready and give everything I can to the team.”
After the international break, United will take on Brentford in the Premier League. There is uncertainty over whether Ten Hag will remain as manager, as minority owners INEOS are feeling the pressure to make a decision regarding his position.
