Initially, he made an impact with a dream debut, scoring a late winner against Fulham. However, the Dutch forward has struggled to maintain form, failing to score in his subsequent 15 appearances.
This has fueled speculation about an early departure as he struggles to adapt to the demands of the Premier League.
Reports suggest that with the arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim, Zirkzee might have a chance to rejuvenate his career.
However, Manchester United are allegedly prepared to use him as part of a swap deal to secure Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
According to Il Mattino, via Get Football News Italy, United have proposed a package that includes €30 million and Zirkzee in exchange for Osimhen. Napoli, the Serie A leaders, are reportedly evaluating the offer.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig leaders Galatasaray, has a €75 million release clause in his Napoli contract.
He was close to joining Chelsea during the summer transfer window but remained with Napoli. While Al Ahli from the Saudi Pro League expressed interest, they eventually signed England’s Ivan Toney instead.
The Nigerian forward has been in outstanding form for Galatasaray, scoring eight goals in nine appearances across all competitions.
Despite earlier tensions at Napoli, including losing the No.9 shirt under Antonio Conte, Osimhen secured a no-fee loan move to Galatasaray.
His current loan includes a clause allowing him to leave in January if an elite club submits a suitable offer.
