Manchester United and RB Leipzig are nearing the completion of their agreement for Benjamin Sesko, following the Slovenian striker’s expressed desire to join the Premier League giants this summer.

However, on Tuesday, sources indicated that Sesko’s representatives informed Newcastle that the player had made his final choice and was set on a move to the North West.
RB Leipzig were also made aware of Sesko’s decision, and since then, negotiations with United have progressed, with insiders revealing that the initial €85 million bid was accepted, and discussions are now focused on performance-related clauses and payment structure.
Manchester United have also been in dialogue with Sesko’s team regarding personal terms, and it’s understood that a preliminary agreement has been reached for a five-year contract.
According to TBR Football’s lead reporter, Graeme Bailey, United are aiming to present Benjamin Sesko to fans at Old Trafford before their final pre-season clash against Fiorentina on Saturday.
Bailey states: “This deal is now accelerating – Sesko informed Newcastle and Leipzig officially on Tuesday that he would be joining Manchester United.
“Personal terms were never going to be an issue, and broad agreement is in place for those.
“I am told that United would love to get the deal over the line by Saturday to have him presented to the crowd against Fiorentina.
“One thing I am told is that Ruben Amorim, internally, is delighted to be getting his new number 9 – this team is now becoming an Amorim XI – from the inverted wings back, to the two CAMs to the number nine – this is now an Amorim team heading into the new season.”
