Manchester United make bid for Talisca as manager confirms Premier League move

Manchester United have reportedly made an offer for Brazilian star Anderson Talisca and are trying to beat Liverpool to his signature.

The 24-year-old played his last game for Besiktas on Saturday, where he has been on loan from Benfica for the past season, with the club unable to pay his buy-out clause.

Instead, Talisca has been linked with a move to the Premier League , with the likes of Liverpool and Everton , as well as Wolves, all interested in his signing.

But now O Jogo claim Jose Mourinho is interested in signing the Brazilian and submitted a £35m offer that they expect to be accepted.

The fee is more than the buyout clause Benfica had negotiated with Besiktas, and the Portuguese club’s president, Luis Filipe Vieira, has informed the player about the offer.

Talisca is said to be ‘excited’ by the prospect of moving to Manchester United and a deal is close.

Besiktas manager Senol Gunes confirmed that Talisca would move to the Premier League after Saturday’s game.

Asked about the Brazilian’s future, he said: ‘I am sorry that Talisca is gone, he’ll be a competitor to Cenk Tosun in the Premier League.’
