Kylian Mbappe’s tenure at Real Madrid has not started as many had hoped, with the French forward struggling to meet expectations since his high-profile move to the Spanish giants.
The 25-year-old departed PSG in the summer after his contract expired, opting to join Real Madrid, the reigning European and Spanish champions, on a free transfer.

They are already trailing arch-rivals Barcelona by four points in La Liga, and their Champions League campaign took a hit with a 2-0 loss to Liverpool on Wednesday night, jeopardizing their chances of advancing.
The 15-time European champions have collected only six points from their first five group-stage matches and currently sit in 24th place in the standings with just three games left in the league phase.
In the Liverpool defeat, Mbappé missed a crucial penalty, and young Reds defender Conor Bradley limited his opportunities to make a difference.
Spanish media outlets have been critical of Mbappé’s performances, particularly in light of the financial investment Madrid made to secure him.
While he arrived without a transfer fee, the club agreed to pay him a massive £128 million signing bonus, spread over five years, according to the BBC.
So far, Mbappé has received approximately £12.8 million of this bonus, depending on the agreed schedule of payments. Additionally, he earns a reported weekly salary of £250,000.
Having joined Madrid in early June, Mbappé has been with the club for about 26 weeks, earning roughly £6.4 million in wages during that time. Combining his signing bonus to date with his wages, he has made an estimated £16.4 million since his move.
Mbappé has scored nine goals in 18 appearances for Real Madrid so far. Based on these figures, each goal has cost the club approximately £1.8 million.
