It has been reported that Kylian Mbappe’s comments after PSG’s Champions League victory led to a heated exchange in the tunnel, agitating the Barcelona squad.
Mbappe, who was subdued in the first leg at Parc des Princes, turned the tables in the second leg with two goals, propelling PSG to a 4-1 triumph.

Barcelona initially took the lead with a goal from Raphinha, but the aggregate score was tied at 4-4 following strikes from Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha.
Mbappe then stepped up, converting a pivotal penalty against Marc-Andre ter Stegen and clinching the match with a goal in the 89th minute, ensuring PSG’s advancement with a 6-4 aggregate win and concluding Barcelona’s run in the tournament.
Post-match, tensions reportedly flared in Spain, with Mundo Deportivo disclosing a confrontation in the tunnel precipitated by a taunting remark from Mbappe, delivered in Spanish, to the Barcelona players.
“This is football and it’s on the pitch where you have to talk,” the French attacker reportedly shouted as he entered the dressing room.
Following Kylian Mbappe’s comment, a heated altercation erupted in the tunnel, involving a large group of over 60 individuals, including players, coaching staff, and security personnel from Barcelona.
The incident was marked by a fervent verbal clash, yet no physical harm or injuries were reported.
Additionally, Mbappe is said to have incited Barcelona fans after the game. A video that has since spread widely shows him exclaiming “Let’s Go!” in French at the conclusion of the match, a shout aimed at the nearby Barcelona fans.
Despite the fans’ outrage, Mbappe disregarded their reaction and proceeded to embrace PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, celebrating a momentous victory in Spain.
The tension between Mbappe and Barcelona may hint at his expected transfer to Real Madrid as a free agent when the season ends.
In the meantime, Mbappe remains on track to possibly face Real Madrid in the Champions League final, as they too have secured a semi-final berth after defeating Manchester City.
