Another post claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo is a better player than Lionel Messi.
The hacker then began quoting various “Football Twitter” users before promoting a cryptocurrency scam, similar to what happened when Jamie Carragher’s account was hacked during Euro 2024.
Eventually, the suspicious tweets were deleted, suggesting that Mbappe and his team had regained control of the account.
However, as of early Thursday morning, tweets from the last 18 months were missing, and there were no visible replies. Gradually, the posts reappeared, with tweets up to August 2024 becoming visible again.
On the field, Mbappe and Real Madrid will find out who their eight opponents are for the new Champions League format’s inaugural season on Thursday morning. Real Madrid will be one of the seeded teams in the draw.
