Mbeumo drops fresh Man Utd tease as Brentford star waits for transfer

Bryan Mbeumo has yet to join Manchester United’s pre-season training, much to the frustration of manager Ruben Amorim, who identified him as a key summer target.

Despite not being on the pitch at Carrington, the Brentford attacker seems to be closely monitoring United’s preparations as he awaits the green light for his move. ..Continue Reading

Talks between United and Brentford remain ongoing, with the Red Devils having already seen two offers turned down.

Since Mbeumo made it clear five weeks ago that he preferred a switch to Old Trafford, bids of £55 million and £62.5 million have failed to meet Brentford’s expectations.

The Bees reportedly rate the 25-year-old higher than Matheus Cunha, who joined United earlier this summer for £62.5 million.

United’s most recent proposal included £55 million guaranteed and £7.5 million in bonuses, but Brentford are holding firm for a minimum of £60 million upfront.

As United prepare a third—and potentially final—offer, Mbeumo has been engaging with the club’s social media activity.

On Friday, fans noticed that he followed new United defender Leny Yoro on Instagram.

He then liked Yoro’s post captioned “ReUnited,” which featured training photos, including one showing him challenging Mason Mount for the ball.

Cameroon assistant coach Ashu Cyprian Besong has confirmed that Mbeumo is growing increasingly impatient with the slow pace of negotiations.

The delay has underscored United’s financial constraints following a disappointing 15th-place finish in the Premier League last season.

Missing out on Champions League qualification after losing the Europa League final to Spurs has further strained the club’s budget.

Although United have managed to bring in Cunha and are still pushing for Mbeumo, Amorim’s squad overhaul has been hampered by limited funds.

Additional signings will depend on player sales, with Diego Leon already arriving from Cerro Porteño for £3.3 million.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia are all absent from training as they explore potential exits.
