Former Manchester City defender and popular pundit Micah Richards has stirred debate across the football world by naming his top three picks to win the Premier League title this season — and surprisingly, his former club didn’t make the cut.

“If Rodri would have been fit, I think they could have gone to the wire, but it doesn’t look like he’s going to be fit until maybe October,” Richards explained.
Instead, Richards has tipped Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea as the three teams most likely to battle it out for the crown.
Liverpool, under Arne Slot, are his favorites to retain the title after finishing ten points clear of Arsenal last season and equaling Manchester United’s record of 20 league titles.
Richards praised their consistency and squad depth, suggesting they have the momentum to go all the way again.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have been knocking on the door for several seasons and continue to strengthen under Mikel Arteta. Richards believes they’re close but still need reinforcements on the left flank to truly dominate.
Chelsea’s inclusion may surprise some, but Richards was impressed by their recent performances in the Club World Cup and sees them as genuine contenders.
He highlighted their attacking depth and quick transitions, though he warned that defensive frailties could be their undoing.
With the season underway and all three clubs showing early promise, Richards’ predictions have added fuel to an already fiery title race.
Whether his forecast proves accurate remains to be seen — but one thing’s certain: the Premier League is in for another thrilling ride.
