Jose Mourinho has shared his predictions for this summer’s European Championships, expressing confidence that England will perform well.

England enters the competition as the favorites to win, following their penalty shootout loss to Italy in the 2020 final.
The Three Lions will begin their campaign on Sunday, facing Serbia at 8 pm BST in Arena AufSchalke, the home stadium of German second-tier team Schalke.
However, Mourinho does not believe that Gareth Southgate will guide England to their first major trophy in 58 years this summer.
In an interview on the TNT Sports Instagram account, Mourinho predicted that his home country, Portugal, will win the tournament, repeating their success from the 2016 Euros.
He foresees more disappointment for English fans, expecting England to once again fall short and finish as runners-up in Euro 2024.
When asked for a team that could be surprise winners, he said: “Anyone outside Portugal, France and England because I think these 3 are the favourites.
“So, for me anyone that comes outside these 3, even countries like Germany.”
Aside from England, the bookmakers’ favorites to win Euro 2024 are France, Germany, Portugal, and Spain.
While Mourinho doesn’t believe England will win the tournament, he has predicted success for individual players from England’s star-studded team.
The newly appointed Fenerbahçe manager, who managed Harry Kane for 17 months at Tottenham Hotspur, predicts that the England captain will take home the golden boot award this summer.
Mourinho also believes an English player will be named the player of the tournament, with young talent Jude Bellingham being his pick for the honor.
Regarding the Ballon d’Or, Mourinho predicted that Bellingham’s Real Madrid teammate, Vinicius Jr., will win the 2024 award, following his contributions to the club’s historic 15th Champions League title and 36th La Liga trophy.
Currently, Kylian Mbappe is the favorite to win both the golden boot and player of the tournament awards this summer, while Vinicius Jr. remains the frontrunner for the Ballon d’Or.
