Jose Mourinho has disclosed the player he wishes he had the chance to coach throughout his distinguished career.
With stints at renowned clubs like Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, Mourinho boasts an unparalleled resume in the world of football management.

The esteemed tactician has clinched virtually every major trophy in club football and has mentored iconic figures such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Frank Lampard, and Samuel Eto’o along his illustrious journey.
Despite his numerous accomplishments spanning over a 24-year managerial tenure, Mourinho harbors one notable regret.
While Mourinho has encountered Lionel Messi on several occasions throughout his career, including coaching Messi’s rival Ronaldo during his tenure at Real Madrid, he laments not having had the opportunity to guide the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner firsthand.
When asked by influencer Ohm to name some superstars that he wished he’d worked with, the Portuguese coach said: “For example, I never got to train Lionel Messi, but then nobody can train Messi.
“It is absurd to think you could coach him, because he was born with everything and already knows everything. He might teach you some things. All you could say is that you had the honour of having him in your squad.
“To stay in the Roma theme, I would’ve liked to have [Daniele] De Rossi at Inter and Real Madrid, but it was not possible. I also wanted [Francesco] Totti at Inter, despite his age at the time, but it was not possible either. These are players I always wanted in my career.”
Following his departure from Serie A club Roma, Mourinho joined Fenerbahçe.
Despite ruling out the possibility of accepting a managerial role in Saudi Arabia in the near future, he is far from contemplating retirement.
