Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has refused to offer his backing to Chelsea boss Frank Lampard after reports claiming that the blues are considering sacking the 42-year-old.
Lampard’s future is under huge threat at Stamford Bridge following Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Leicester City earlier this week.
The defeat means they have now lost five out of their last eight Premier League games, and the club’s hierarchy are now reportedly considering other options to Lampard.
Mourinho hailed Lampard as the best professional he has ever worked with during Tottenham’s ‘All or Nothing’ series on Amazon Prime.
But, the Spurs manager has turned down the chance to offer some words of encouragement to Lampard during Chelsea’s poor run of form.
When asked during his press conference on Friday if he believes the London side will stick with Lampard, Mourinho bluntly replied: ‘No, that’s not my problem at all.’
Lampard, meanwhile, says he is not focusing on reports linking several coaches with a move to the club. ‘I don’t listen to it,’ said Lampard.
