Ola Aina names the toughest player he played against in his career

Ola Aina, the Super Eagles’ standout, identified Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nassr, as the most formidable adversary he has encountered throughout his esteemed professional football journey.

Despite facing numerous top-tier wingers and attackers, Aina singled out the Real Madrid icon.

A versatile player, Aina is proficient as both a right or left fullback and as a wingback within a three-man defense formation.

Nottingham Forest conducted a one-on-one interview with the Super Eagles defender, sharing his responses to various inquiries on their official Instagram page, as reported by Soccernet.

In the interview, Aina, formerly of Chelsea, promptly declared: “Cristiano Ronaldo” as his toughest opponent, citing their clashes in the Italian Serie A, where Aina represented Torino while Ronaldo played for Juventus, setting up a city rivalry.

Ronaldo emerged victorious in their encounters, netting three goals in four meetings. Among other queries, fans were intrigued when Aina was asked about the best footballer he had the privilege to play alongside in his career.

“I wouldn’t say the best, but I’ll probably put Eden Hazard.” Aina played with the former Belgian international during his time at Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo scored a left-footed volley for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Kings Cup semi-final against Al Khaleej on Wednesday, May 1.

In the intense battle for a place in the King’s Cup final, Ronaldo stepped up, seizing the moment to motivate his team.

With impressive speed and accuracy, he took advantage of Khaleej’s defensive error, swiftly turning and blasting a powerful shot into the net in the 17th minute.
