Osimhen, 25, joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan after falling out with Napoli.
Since his move to Turkey, Osimhen has scored 12 goals in 15 appearances across all competitions, including two in last month’s Europa League win over Tottenham Hotspur.
However, according to The Athletic, Chelsea will not make another bid for Osimhen in the New Year.
As football.london reported in September, Chelsea made a late attempt to sign Osimhen on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy, but the deal didn’t materialize.
It is now believed that the Blues, currently second in the Premier League, do not plan to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window.
Long-term plans at Stamford Bridge include recruiting a striker, with Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap among several targets, though such moves are expected to wait until next summer.
Chelsea’s attacking options are already strong, featuring players like Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, and Christopher Nkunku.
Nevertheless, Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are reportedly three players who might leave the club in January due to limited playing time under Enzo Maresca.
