Cole Palmer, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder, has been a revelation since joining Chelsea from Manchester City.
He was recently named both the Men’s Player of the Year and the Men’s Players’ Player of the Year at Chelsea’s glitzy end-of-season awards ceremony. This achievement is hardly surprising, considering his outstanding debut season with the club.

Despite initial doubts when Chelsea splashed out £42.5 million on Palmer last summer, he has silenced critics by delivering an impressive performance.
Throughout the season, he scored 24 goals and provided 13 assists, even though Chelsea’s overall campaign has been disappointing.
As a Manchester City academy graduate, Palmer made his England debut in November. Now, he aims to add to his tally in Chelsea’s remaining three games against Nottingham Forest, Brighton, and Bournemouth.
Although he experienced the pain of losing in the finals of both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup this season, the joy of receiving his awards at Stamford Bridge was evident. Cole Palmer’s impact has been nothing short of remarkable!
Asked about his Euro 2024 aspirations after being handed the Player of the Year prize, Palmer said: ‘Hopefully I can get picked and go to the tournament and show what I can do
‘But there are a few games left at the end of the season.’

It’s likely Palmer will have won both the Men’s Player of the Year and and the Players’ Player of the Year awards by a huge landslide considering the extent to which he has stood out from the rest of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad this campaign.
Given the England international couldn’t vote for himself, he revealed that he selected Malo Gusto to win Chelsea’s Players’ Player of the Year while speaking shortly after the ceremony.
‘It’s been a dream season, a debut season for me, so thank you to the manager, the staff, the players and, of course, the fans,’ Palmer began.
‘I just came to play, showcase my abilities, my talent to the fans. But it has gone amazing, probably better than I imagined so, yeah, I’m buzzing.’
When asked who he voted for to win the Players’ Player of the Year, Palmer responded: ‘I voted for Malo Gusto.
‘I love playing with him on the right and he’s been amazing this season when he’s played, so that’s why I voted for him.’
Chelsea secured the signing of Gusto from Lyon in January 2023. However, they immediately loaned the 20-year-old French right-back back to Lyon for the remainder of the previous season.
Since making his Chelsea debut in August, Gusto has impressed, especially in the absence of Reece James. He has made 33 appearances in all competitions for the club.
In October, Gusto received his senior France debut, and now he eagerly hopes to secure a spot in Didier Deschamps’ squad for this summer’s European Championships in Germany.
