Cole Palmer injury update ahead of Chelsea game vs Bournemouth revealed

Cole Palmer is expected to start for Chelsea in their Premier League match against Bournemouth this weekend, after missing out on England’s international fixtures.

Palmer was initially selected by Lee Carsley for England’s Nations League games against the Republic of Ireland and Finland.

However, the 22-year-old quickly withdrew from the squad, with the Football Association stating that both Palmer and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins had returned to their clubs to focus on recovering from ongoing fitness issues.

Despite this, Palmer seems to have shaken off his injury concerns during the break, with Chelsea confirming that he has participated in full training this week.

He is set to retain his spot in the starting lineup as Chelsea, under Enzo Maresca, head to Bournemouth on Saturday.

Additionally, Jadon Sancho could make his Chelsea debut this weekend, following his loan move from Manchester United.

Sancho trained with the team during the international break, and Maresca has been impressed with the winger’s performance in training.

‘I decide the first eleven. It depends on the training session,’ Maresca said on Friday.

‘Jadon is one of our wingers. I’m seeing the exact way I expected of him. He is a very good player in the last third, one-vs-one, quality in the last third, so he is exactly the player we were looking at.

‘It’s a matter of finding the right moment for him and to give him a chance.’
