Pirlo snubs Ronaldo, names most complete player at Juventus

Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo, has hailed Adrien Rabiot as “a complete player”. The Italian manager claims he has “rarely seen someone so strong both physically and technically”.

Rabiot played his seventh Serie A match of the campaign as Juventus beat Cagliari 2-0 on Saturday.

The win saw the Seria A champions move high to second in the Italian league table on 16 points, one behind current leaders Milan having played a game more.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace within four minutes, but Rabiot was the architect of most of their key moments in the final third before being taken off for Weston McKennie.

“He is a complete player, I have rarely seen someone so strong both physically and technically,” Andreas Pirlo told Sky Sports of Rabiot post-match.

“He doesn’t even know the potential for improvement he can have, and we work on the mental side of things to make him understand that he is a champion. He is improving game after game.”

Meanwhile, Juventus sporting director, Fabio Paratici, has dismissed reports that Cristiano Ronaldo could be set for an exit in 2021, saying the forward will see out his contract contract at the club.

But Paratici said: “His future is with us, I can assure you. “There are transfer rumours every day and players that are linked with different clubs but we don’t pay much attention to that.”
