Paul Pogba ‘tells pals’ he will sign new Man Utd contract after Ronaldo arrival

Paul Pogba has reportedly told his close friends he wants to sign a new Manchester United contract and extend his stay at the club.

The Frenchman’s future has continually been a source for debate ever since his agent Mino Raiola suggested his client would look to leave United.

“Pogba’s contract expires next year. We will talk to Manchester (United) and see,” Raiola said last month.

“For sure Turin has remained in his heart and he cares a lot about these things. The possibility of returning to Juventus is there but it also depends on Juve.”

PSG has also been linked with a move for the player, while Pogba has always ‘dreamed’ of playing for Real Madrid.

However, he has been impressed with the club’s summer recruitment. Which include Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.

And now L’Equipe claims that the 28-year-old is making no secret of his desire to stay at Old Trafford, telling friends that he wants a new contract.

Pogba has been in good form early in the new season, notching seven Premier League assists in as many matches.

The player’s new deal could reportedly net him around £400,000-a-week. And that would m make him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

However, that salary is still less than the offer PSG were preparing for Pogba, with the Independent claiming a £510,000-per-week deal will be made.

If Pogba does not agree a new deal by January 1 then he will be free to discuss with foreign clubs.
