“The Arsenal goal was awarded on-field. The VAR established that the ball hit Havertz’s arm immediately before entering the goal and recommended that the goal was disallowed.”
The on-field decision was to award Arsenal’s goal, but the VAR review revealed that the ball had struck Havertz’s arm just before crossing the line, leading to the recommendation to disallow the goal.
