PSG have sounded out Erling Haaland with a view to the Dortmund star replacing Kylian Mbappe before next week’s transfer deadline.
The Ligue 1 club shocked world football this summer by signing Lionel Messi from Barcelona with a view to forming a lethal forward line, comprising of the player, Mbappe & Neymar.
Mbappe is said to harbour little desire to play alongside Messi and instead is hellbent on fulfilling the ambition of playing for Real Madrid.

PSG are said to have accepted an offer of €180m accepted for a player who has entered into the last year of his contract and shown little willingness to enter into talks over an extension.
According to the Telegraph, PSG have reacted to Mbappe’s impending exit by contacting Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, to enquire about the possibility of engineering a deal this summer window.
The Bundesliga side have remained adamant all summer that their prize asset was not for sale at any price, especially after Jadon Sancho’s exit to Manchester United.
When Mbappe’s sale goes through, PSG would have the funds to tempt Dortmund into selling Haaland, who is likely to be available next summer for only £64m as a consequence of a clause that will become active in his current contract.
Messi aside, meanwhile, PSG have enjoyed an outstanding summer window, signing Donnarumma, who is another client of Raiola, Sergio Ramos and Wijnaldum, as well as Achraf Hakimi.
Should they fail with an attempt to sign Haaland, PSG are likely to turn their attentions to Everton’s Richarlison.
Speaking about the player’s future this morning, Everton manager Rafa Benitez said: ‘He is our player, we are really pleased with him, really happy.
‘Hopefully he can score a lot of goals this year for us.’
