The United captain celebrated with the ecstatic Red Devils supporters at Old Trafford, inadvertently bumping into a Rangers staff member.
David MacGregor, Rangers’ kitman, was heading for the tunnel after Fernandes scored but collided with the midfielder as he tried to avoid United’s celebrations.
Hojlund, 21, then raised his arms and appeared to shove the staff member aside before continuing to celebrate with his teammates.
MacGregor did not react and walked away from the incident.
Fans quickly shared their thoughts on the incident in the comments section of the video.
One fan said: “That guy who came to stop Bruno celebrating. Most accurate Rasmus has been in months pushing him out the way.”
A second added: “Hojlund “MOVE MAN”
While a third asked: “Who was the guy on the track in black that body checked Fernandes after he scored?”
Another questioned: “Who was that who tried to walk into Bruno and Hojlund and they both shoved him away?”
As a fifth quipped: “Who’s that random geeza tryna push his way through?”
United’s triumph propels them to fourth place in the 36-team Europa League group stage, ahead of their upcoming match in Romania against FCSB (Steaua București) on Thursday, 30 January.
A victory would secure a top-eight position, while a draw might still allow them to automatically qualify for the round of 16, depending on other results.
Meanwhile, Rangers are sitting in 13th place but have already secured at least a play-off spot before their final game against Union Saint-Gilloise at Ibrox next week.
According to UEFA, 14 teams – Anderlecht, Athletic Club, AZ Alkmaar, Bodø/Glimt, Eintracht Frankfurt, FCSB, Galatasaray, Lyon, Manchester United, Olympiacos, Rangers, Tottenham, Union SG, and Viktoria Plzeň – have guaranteed themselves at least a play-off place in the competition.
