Although he is still searching for his first goal, he has made a significant contribution with four assists.
His displays for Villa have caught the attention of Thomas Tuchel, who included the 27-year-old in the England squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.
This marks Rashford’s return to the national setup after being left out of Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad last summer.
Rashford expressed his gratitude on social media following the announcement of his inclusion in Tuchel’s squad.
Meanwhile, his Villa teammate, John McGinn, is also preparing for international duty, as Scotland takes on Greece in their Nations League clash, now airing on a new broadcaster.
Ahead of Scotland’s upcoming fixtures, McGinn was asked about both Rashford and Marco Asensio, another January addition to Villa.
During his response, McGinn appeared to take a veiled jab at Manchester United and Amorim over their handling of Rashford during his time at Old Trafford.
“Marcus and Marco showed glimpses which have proved they are at the highest level,” he said.
“They have maybe lost their way, for certain reasons, but what they will both get from us is love and support and teammates who will graft for them.”
Villa captain McGinn added: “We want them to be happy again. And every day that you see them, they have a smile on their face. That’s when you know footballers are happy and at their best.
“In that game against Club Brugge, Marcus played his best game in that second half and he was a constant threat.
“If we can get those two firing, they’re a pair that every club in the country would take.”
Before appearing for Villa, it had been claimed that United wanted £40m to sanction the permanent sale of Rashford.
According to Transfer Markt, Rashford has a new market value of around £46 million.
