Attention is now shifting to which squad number Rashford might wear. He previously donned the No. 10 shirt at United, but that number is currently held by Lamine Yamal.
Barcelona still have a few available numbers, including the iconic No. 14—once worn by Thierry Henry—which has become vacant following Pablo Torre’s transfer to Real Mallorca.
Interestingly, Rashford recently expressed his admiration for Henry during a conversation with Javi “xBuyer” Ruiz, as part of his efforts to push for a move to Camp Nou.
“He’s [Henry] comfortable playing off the left and in the middle and he is a free-flowing player,” he said.
“When I was young I always enjoyed watching him in the Premier League. The No 9 position is becoming more natural to me.”
Yamal’s former jersey, No. 19, is now vacant following his move to the No. 10 shirt, and No. 22 is also currently unassigned.
Rashford has past connections to both numbers — he previously sported 19 at Manchester United before inheriting the No. 10, and he first appeared for England wearing 22, scoring in a friendly against Australia.
