Marcus Rashford was sent home from Manchester United training the day after being excluded from the Manchester derby, and the forward has admitted he is looking for a new challenge away from Old Trafford.

Amorim omitted both Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from the matchday squad for the derby, citing issues with their behavior and attitude as he aims to establish his authority as the new boss.
On Monday morning, Rashford reported to United’s Carrington training ground but was sent home after a doctor found he had a high temperature, according to the Daily Mail.
Rashford then spent Tuesday at his former primary school, where he distributed 420 Christmas presents to local children. It was there that he told journalist Henry Winter that he is considering leaving United for a new challenge.
“For me, personally, I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” said Rashford. “When I leave it’s going to be no hard feelings. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me. I will always be a Red.”
Rashford still has more than three years left on his £315,000-a-week contract signed last year. It is yet to be determined whether any prospective clubs will meet his financial expectations.
United is believed to be open to offers around £40 million for the England international, whose departure is increasingly considered necessary as Amorim seeks to shape the squad according to his vision.
Explaining his decision to omit Rashford and Garnacho against Man City, Amorim said: “(It was) selection. We try to evaluate everything – training, performance, game performance, engagement with the teammates, push the teammates up.
“Everything is on the line when we analyse and try to choose the players, so it was my selection. Simple. I don’t want to send a message (to the dressing room with this). It’s simply an evaluation, and they know it.”
