Rashford responds to Ten Hag decision by deciding his Man Utd future

Marcus Rashford is excited by Manchester United’s decision to retain Erik ten Hag as manager and is eager to renew his commitment to his boyhood club.

Rashford, like many of his teammates, had a disappointing season as United finished eighth in the Premier League.

However, the season ended on a high note with an FA Cup final victory against Manchester City, where Rashford was seen in tears during the post-match celebrations.

Some interpreted Rashford’s emotional reaction as a sign he might leave the club, but according to The Sun, he wants to stay at Old Trafford.

With the uncertainty about Ten Hag’s future now resolved, Rashford is determined to return for pre-season refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to play a key role in the next chapter of Ten Hag’s tenure.

Paris Saint-Germain, long-time admirers of the 26-year-old, are looking for a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

However, they will have to look elsewhere as Rashford is ready to focus on his game and overcome the off-field issues that affected his form last season.

Rashford is expected to benefit from a full summer off, having been left out of the England squad for Euro 2024.

His absence has been felt, and former teammate Wayne Rooney believes it was a mistake to exclude players like Rashford and Jack Grealish from the squad.

‘I thought about Jack Grealish and Marcus Rashford,’ Rooney told the Times after watching England labour to a 1-1 draw against Denmark.

‘They would have been good options to bring on. Sometimes even just the presence of such players, who the opposition know can hurt them, makes a difference.

‘It was another moment where I wondered if Gareth regretted his squad’s lack of experience.’
