Rashford gives three-word verdict on Ruben Amorim’s first Man Utd training session

Rashford, who has remained at the club during the international break, was among the players in attendance. The forward is looking to make an impression in the coming days as he aims to secure a spot in Amorim’s debut starting XI.

Preparations at United are expected to intensify as they gear up for the return of Premier League action this weekend.

Amorim’s first game in charge will see the team travel to face Ipswich Town on Sunday.

To mark the beginning of this new chapter at Old Trafford, Rashford took to social media to reflect on the opening training session under the 39-year-old manager.

On his Instagram story, Rashford wrote: “Top session today,” accompanied by a picture of himself taking part in the training session at Carrington.

Alongside Marcus Rashford, nine other Manchester United first-team players participated in Ruben Amorim’s inaugural training session.

Joining Rashford at Carrington were Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro, Mason Mount, Amad Diallo, Jonny Evans, Casemiro, Antony, Tom Heaton, Tyrell Malacia, and Luke Shaw.

Mainoo, Yoro, Mount, Malacia, and Shaw have all recently been sidelined due to injuries.

Yoro, who joined United from Lille during the summer, is yet to make his competitive debut, while Malacia has been working towards full fitness following a lengthy knee injury, even featuring for the Under-21s last week as part of his recovery.
