Real Madrid have delayed their plan to sign PSG forward Kylian Mbappe by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to reports.
The Spanish club were plotting a move to bring the France international to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer window yet the current situation means that will be hard.
There is no football being played in Europe’s top leagues and little income going into the coffers, meaning it will be hard to sign players.
And that is the same at Real Madrid, who decided to make the Frenchman their key target going into this summer after he suggested he could leave PSG in the future.

But they have now accepted they will have to wait to make a move for him until the end of the 2020-21 season, when their finances will improve.
Spanish outlet AS have claimed that the club will be boosted by the fact that his valuation will drop from £189m to around £132m.
There is expected to be a huge dip in the market due to the coronavirus crisis and Mbappe’s unwillingness to sign a new contract at Paris.
He will have just a year left on his deal with the French side next summer, with his current contract set to expire in 2022.
PSG head coach Thomas Tuchel has also conceded it could be difficult to keep hold of the 21-year-old attacker.
He said: ‘As a coach, I do want them to continue, but this is football, we are not naive.
‘Many clubs want to transfer many players and the market is crazy, but if you ask me, the coach, yes, I want them here next season. But if they are not, we will find solutions.’
Mbappe also discussed his future recently: ‘It’s very important moment for me, I come to a turning point in my career. I have discovered a lot here, and I feel it is perhaps the moment to have more responsibility.
