A prominent player from Real Madrid has made headlines with the revelation of his impending departure from the team, following their recent victory over Manchester City in the Champions League.
The match, which took place on Wednesday, saw Manchester City’s campaign to retain their European title halted as they were defeated by Madrid in a penalty shootout.

The missed penalties by midfielders Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic were pivotal moments that allowed the celebrated Spanish club to secure a spot in the semifinals.
In the wake of their triumph over City, reports have surfaced indicating that a key figure from Madrid’s roster is set to exit the club at the conclusion of this season.
As reported by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who posted on social media: “Nacho has informed Real Madrid of his intention to leave at the end of the season.
“The club has been informed, as reported by @jfelixdiaz @marca Nacho’s contract expires in June and he’s now really planning to leave as free agent.”
Nacho, a product of Madrid’s youth academy since 2001, first appeared for Real Madrid B in 2009. During his tenure there, he featured in 111 matches and found the back of the net four times.
His breakthrough into the Madrid senior team and La Liga came in 2011, marking his debut with a start as left back in an impressive 6-3 victory over Valencia away from home.
Over the years, the Spanish defender has accumulated 355 appearances in all competitions for the esteemed Los Blancos, contributing 16 goals.
In the recent clash with City on Wednesday, Nacho was a central figure in Carlo Ancelotti’s defense, partnering with Antonio Rudiger and participating for the full duration of the match.
Speaking after the game, Ancelotti said: “This is a great result obtained with great sacrifice. We defended well, and it was the only way to win here.
“I congratulated him(Pep Guardiola) and wished him the best of luck for the rest of the season. They progressed last season, and this time, it was our turn. It was a great feat to win today and I am really happy.”
When asked about Bayern in the next round, Ancelotti said: “It’s interesting because it’s the semifinal and it’s particularly good because we beat Manchester City.”
