Cristiano Ronaldo’s illustrious career has seen him accomplish nearly everything imaginable, especially in terms of personal milestones.

He’s played in the most high-stakes matches in football, on some of the most iconic pitches in the game, but a Champions League match in 2006 stands out for the unforgettable atmosphere.
For Ronaldo, among all the stadiums he’s set foot in, the electrifying energy of Celtic’s Parkhead stadium remains his favorite.
Ronaldo’s thoughts on the visit to Scotland are shared via Celtic’s official website, with the player saying, “The Celtic fans are incredible. It is always great to play there.”
Interestingly, the Portuguese star’s debut at Celtic Park ended in disappointment, as a late free-kick from Shunsuke Nakamura sealed a win for Celtic in their group stage clash with Manchester United.
In two more visits to Celtic Park with the Red Devils, Ronaldo didn’t manage to find the net, but he also avoided defeat in those matches.
United’s legendary former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, backed up Ronaldo’s sentiments on Parkhead’s atmosphere, adding: “Parkhead is THE best I’ve experienced. The players were just talking about that the other day – Vidic and Ronaldo were saying it’s the best atmosphere they had ever played in.
“Credit to the supporters for that because they don’t half raise the roof. It’s obvious the Celtic players react to it given the results they’ve had. You are going to have to run that extra yard or you will soon be found out by them.”
Interestingly, Lionel Messi also cited Celtic Park as a “special” atmosphere and one he will never forget from his time at Barcelona.
