Fans believe Cristiano Ronaldo took a sly jab at Lionel Messi in his reply to Elon Musk.
Last month, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner netted twice for Al Nassr in their 3-1 victory over Al Gharafa in the AFC Champions League.

After the match, Ronaldo shared a series of images from the game on social media, captioning them with, “Big win tonight!”
In response to Ronaldo’s tweet, Tesla and X owner Musk simply wrote, “Congrats!”
In response to Musk, Ronaldo delivered an eight word message, which said: “Glad your eyes have time for good “soccer”.”
Reacting on social media, fans felt Ronaldo aimed a slight dig at Messi, who is now plying his trade in the United States of America playing for Inter Miami.
‘Soccer’ is also the popular term used in the States for football.
One fan said: “MY GOATTTTT.” Another tweeted: “A real tweet thats not PR…”
A third fan added: “That is why he is the Goat.”
However, it might just be that Ronaldo is using the term ‘soccer’ because Musk is an American.
To date, Ronaldo has netted 913 goals in his illustrious career.
Earlier this year, the 39-year-old expressed his goal of reaching 1000 career goals during a conversation with former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand on YouTube.
He said: “I know I’m still looking good, I look good, I feel I can still dribble, shoot, score goals and jump. The day that I start to feel that I’m producing nothing, listen, I pack my bags and I go away.
“But it’s far from that because as I told you, I don’t want to be cocky, I scored 60 goals this season(23/24). Then the people say I didn’t score in five matches in the Euros, I scored 130, I’m the most goal scorer in history. I will put the level even higher.”
The 39-year-old added: “Soon I will do 900 and, after, I will beat 1,000. I want to reach 1,000 goals. If I don’t have injuries, this, for me, is the most important. I want that.
“It’s the best marker I can have in football. There will be one difference: all of my goals have videos, so I can prove that.”
