Ronaldo is throwing his support behind Manchester City as they aim to carve out a new record this season by securing their fourth Premier League title in a row.
Under the stewardship of Pep Guardiola, City has seen a remarkable period of dominance, clinching the league title five times within his seven-year tenure, and are now on the cusp of achieving an unprecedented fourth successive title.

This accomplishment has eluded all clubs since the inception of the English top division in 1888, though Guardiola has achieved this milestone previously with both Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
City is firmly in contention, trailing by a mere point behind their closest competitors, Arsenal and Liverpool, after an electrifying 1-1 standoff with Liverpool at Anfield last Sunday. Ronaldo, the Brazilian legend, is confident in City’s prospects to triumph once again.
When asked by the Daily Mail who he thinks will win the race this campaign, Ronaldo replied: “City.” And Guardiola declared back in December that he was confident Man City would win the league.
“My feeling today is we’re going to win the Premier League,” he insisted. “People don’t believe it already, after three draws, but we feel we’re going to do it again – knowing that it is not easy because no team has done it yet [won four in a row].
“The difficulty is there and was last season, but if you ask me today what I’m feeling, we’re going to do it again.” However, when reflecting on the race after City’s draw with Liverpool, Guardiola gave a more measured response as he admitted “it will be difficult” to come out on top.
“The reflection of that is a good point to say. Except one year when Liverpool won it it with a lot of points, we were always there,” he said. “The question is to be there. It will be difficult with the quality.
“We need 98 or 99 minutes to draw or win games, Arsenal need 25 minutes to go 3-0 every game but yesterday was a little bit more tight. We knew it last season with Arsenal when they made 50 points in the first leg but that is the point.
“We make our standards and the teams try to arrive in the best position. I’m not surprised with the situation right now, not at all. Every time it has been quality, you are not going to undermine our previous Premier Leagues, I’m sorry.
“I know what defines the quality of what we have done, the five Premier Leagues out of six, is the quality of our opponent and this is our opponent for seven or eight years, not even one time did they drop.
“Sometimes they dropped one season, always they were there. So today what we have done these years against that opponent, against Jurgen’s team, give more credit to what we have done. Arsenal last year came back and will stay for a long time because they are a young team with an exceptional manager.
